mental health program supervisor-community residence program

Job Summary: Program Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and management to a mental health residence serving 14 clients with mental illness. The program’s objective is to help clients develop the skills and supports to lead a healthier and more productive life. Duties include supervision of staff in the provision of individual and group counseling, maintaining of clinical records, networking with other community providers, managing the daily operation of the house and budget and work with quality assurance team. The Program Supervisor is responsible to the Mental Health Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications: Must be a Qualified Health Professional as defined in Part 595 OMH Residential regulations and 5 years relevant, paid counseling experience in a mental health agency. Some relevant supervisory experience is preferred, or the equivalent in relevant education, training and experience subject to the approval of the state licensing agency, when applicable.

Chemical Dependency counselor for community Residence

Job Summary: Responsible for providing counseling and training to chemically dependent adult clients in a community residence. Duties include support to clients, monitoring the self-administration of medication as needed, record keeping, responding to emergencies, communicating with agency On-Call Consultants and performing other routine tasks as assigned. Mix of day and evening hours. Responsible to Program Supervisor.

Qualifications: CASAC and experience in chemical dependency rehabilitation programs is preferred.

Job Summary: Responsible for supervising clients and monitoring facility during overnight hours. Must be available to work Sunday through Thursday overnight shifts. mental health counselor for Residential rehabilitation program

Job Summary: Responsible for providing counseling and training to clients in a more independent and responsible living environment. This includes individual and group counseling, maintaining clinical records, networking with other community providers, assisting clients with funding and financial matters, assisting in the daily operation of the unit (e.g. light housekeeping, food and supply purchasing, etc.). Responsible to Program Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in human service field and two years of relevant experience, or high school diploma and three years experience. Prefer individual with work experience in adult residential rehabilitation setting serving clients with mental illness or dual disorders of mental illness and chemical dependency and with demonstrated ability to function independently. NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of vehicle for work are required.
