finance director

Job Summary Responsible for the leadership, supervision and management of accounting, bookkeeping and business functions such as: banking, relationship with vendors, landlords, and other business contacts; and maintenance of property and equipment. This position serves as a focal point for all financially oriented transactions within the company and requires frequent interaction and cooperation with all levels and between all areas.  Works in close cooperation with the CEO/President to ensure that an appropriate financial policy framework is in place to guide that company’s financial decision making. Supervises Accounting, Payroll/Purchasing and Maintenance staff .Reports to CEO/President.

Hours Full-time. Exempt. Regular hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

Qualifications Masters degree in business administration or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory position, or; Bachelors degree in business administration or related field with a minimum of 7 years experience in a supervisory position. Knowledge of non-profit funding systems for behavioral health services preferred. Demonstrated competence with computers, accounting, spreadsheet and budgeting programs required.

Wage and Benefits Wage range starts at $63,700. Actual salary is based on relevant education and experience. Job Placement Specialist

Job Summary  provides job development and placement services to individuals recovering from chemical dependency and/or clients living within the Home to Stay II program. Job function will include linking job training through the SET (Supportive Employment Training) Program and Job Development/ Placement. Prepares individuals for competitive employment and partners with community employers to make appropriate job matches, offers incentives to employers, and supports individual in job retention. Coordinates and provides training, supervision and work performance evaluations within the scope of the SET Program. Reports to the Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or human services and two years of paid business or marketing experience. Some paid human service experience and supervisory experience preferred. NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of vehicle for work are required.

Hours Full-time, 35 hours. Non-exempt. Regular hours: Monday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Tuesday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

career Counselor

Job Summary  assists clients in developing and implementing a comprehensive program of vocational rehabilitation services that will result in clients’ involvement in employment, skills training or educational activities. Provides and/or coordinates those pre-vocational and vocational activities which will help clients develop and achieve vocational rehabilitation goals. This position will work within OASAS licensed programs. Reports to the Program Director.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human service related field and 2 years paid human service experience required. NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of vehicle for work are required.

Counselor for Mental Health residence Program

Job Summary Responsible for providing counseling and training to clients in a 14 bed group home setting. This includes individual and group counseling, maintaining clinical records, networking with other community providers, assisting clients with funding and financial matters, assisting in the daily operation of the unit (e.g. light housekeeping, food and supply purchasing, etc.).

Shift Full-time: 35 hours. Schedule is a mixture of days, evenings, and weekend hours.

Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working in an adult residential rehabilitation setting serving clients with mental illness is preferred. NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of personal vehicle for work required.

Chemical dependency counselor for community residence

Job Summary Responsible for providing counseling and training to 14 bed coed chemically dependent adult clients in a community residence. Duties include support to clients, monitoring the self-administration of medication as needed, record keeping, responding to emergencies, communicating with agency On-Call Consultants and performing other routine tasks as assigned. Mix of day and evening hours. Responsible to Program Manager.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. CASAC and experience in chemical dependency rehabilitation programs is strongly preferred. NYS motor vehicle license, safe driving record and availability of personal vehicle for work required.
