| The Mental Health Independent Living Program assists adults recovering from serious mental health problems in
obtaining affordable housing and provides them with case management and financial
assistance. Services include counseling, monitoring of physical
and mental health needs, education and training in independent living
skills, recreation, coordination and advocacy with other service
providers.

Program served 241 individuals.
Over 59% of the clients have been living in the community with housing
supports and case management services from the Independent Living
Program for 6 years or longer. 36% of clients in the program
are involved in employment, education, or training.
The average monthly cost of $477
per person for housing and case management services is less than one psychiatric
emergency room visit.
