| Each summer, forty clients are given the opportunity to take classes at Rochester Institute of Technology for two weeks. The experience enhances other treatment and rehabilitation services, and encourages clients to pursue education to achieve independence and self-sufficiency. This important program is funded wholly by donations.
Last June, Mayor Robert Duffy joined East House as special guest speaker at the Enrichment graduation ceremony. “I congratulate each of you on taking this step toward your future,” he said, as he spoke to the graduates, their families and guests.
This year, Officer Moses Robinson was the keynote speaker.
He reminded the graduates that we are each responsible for what we
know. "We will never get a chance to go through this life
again."
Participants enjoy taking classes in art, writing, photography, computer skills, and much, much more.
Classes are taught by over 40 volunteer instructors. The program is
funded wholly by donations.
The 2008 program took place June 2 - 12 at RIT, with graduation
held at 1:00 p.m. on June 12th, at the NTID Panara Theatre. Click
